4 Biblical Truths
That Will Transform
Your Year
Transforming Truth #1 - VISION
Are you on a Vision Course or a Collision Course
Proverbs 29:18
(KJV) 18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

I believe that God is raising a generation with a new vision. If you remember when God spoke to Samuel; 1 Samuel 3:1 (NIV) “The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions.”  The reason there were not many visions is because His church wasn’t right. Eli’s sons were not living right in ministry so the church was suffering from lack of Godly vision. But God saw young Samuel as a man that He could entrust vision to. God looks for people in every generation that have a heart for Him, in whom He can impart vision for the next generation.
The translation of this passage gives a glimpse into the types of vision that God desires to give a generation.
A Prophetic Vision
A prophetic God vision is a picture foretelling His intended plans. Everyone likes the prophetic vision as long as it’s a good vision. But what happens when it’s a vision that’s not popular with others? When you look at other prophets in the word, you see how they were not well received when they gave God’s future picture. Genesis 37:5 (NIV) 5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. Joseph’s story reveals that his own family hated him because of his prophetic dream.
Divine Order Vision
(TEV) 18 A nation without God's guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God's law!
A God vision brings about divine order to a nations culture. If ever there was a time that our nation needed divine order it’s now. God spoke to Isaiah in his day about the condition of his nation and look at what He said; Isaiah 22:1-2 (MSG) 1 A Message concerning the Valley of Vision: What's going on here anyway? All this partying and noisemaking, 2 Shouting and cheering in the streets, the city noisy with celebrations!”  The culture of his day was completely out of control. All of the fun and the parties were only a cover for the real problem – no God vision. In the middle of the valley of vision, God looked beneath the vision and saw why the vision itself was in trouble.
Miracle Vision
A God vision releases His miracle working power through His people. People need to have a vision for the miracle of what God can do in their life. Acts 3:3-5 (NIV) 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
(NCV) 18 Where there is no word from God, people are uncontrolled, but those who obey what they have been taught are happy.  The man could only see his problem and Peter. But Peter was helping the man see beyond both of them to see the potential of Gods miracle power to heal his life. Peter was helping the crippled man to look at what God had deposited inside of him. Do people see God’s miracle power inside of us? Do they see God’s potential to do a miracle in their life? Can they receive a vision from God for their miracle from looking at us?
Without a God vision we run on a collision course from our God given destiny. God needs people with vision to keep us and our culture on Gods vision course.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

2010 has begun and we all have a desire to bring our lives in order. We go on diets to bring our weight or health in order. We clean out our closets to bring our wardrobe into order. On a personal note we want our own lives to be in order… like our family, our finances,  or our marriages. We even seek out people to help us get our lives in this state of order, sometimes professionals that we can employ to do this. Some time ago I viewed a self-help show that involved a home that had accumulated so much stuff through the years that it had absolutely no order to it at all. It was in a state of complete chaos. Let me help you with what God shared with me for this new year. Get back to the basics. If you desire order in your life and not chaos, stick to the basics of what I call “God’s Divine Order”. God wants to help us get out of the chaotic mess we were in last year and have a life of divine order in 2010.

IF YOU WANT DIVINE ORDER:
Put God First
God cannot bring divine order into your life if you aren’t putting Him first. Divine order means that I love Him first. God told one group of people, “you have left your first love.” Divine order means that I pray and fast. One translation reads
“The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants.”  It means that I serve God with the gift, talent and purpose that He created me with. It means that I give of the resources that He’s blessed me with… FIRST. God has to bring order in you before it will happen around you. Divine order always starts within a person. That’s why when you accept Christ into your life, divine order starts happening. I know there are people that say, “Things got worse when I got saved.” That’s only because God has to clear out the chaos before you start to see order. That relationship has to go because God knows that your life is out of order. That job may have to go because God knows that it’s not in the plane of order.
Relationships Second

Since God works off of order; the second most important aspect of life that God has taught us, after a relationship with Him, is for us to have an order of the relationships around us. Jesus said this in
Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV) 37 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Relationships with family and friends need to be forged and cultivated. Relationships need to be ordered to help us become accountable in life to one another and to help make us become better people. We will never accomplish what God has desired for our lives without the assistance of ordered healthy relationships. If we look in God’s word we see that everyone needed someone to help them achieve God’s divine purpose and plan for their lives. His plan is carried out through the divine order of relationships. So how can you know who is a part of God’s divine order of relationships? It’s the people that recognize your potential and can help you find your gifts, yet they still love you enough to tell you what you aren’t gifted to do. They are people that love you enough to correct you, yet they are always there to encourage you. People that will pray with you and tell you all of the good that God has shared with them about your life, yet will also help you see God’s correction when you are off base. These people are the people that have a pattern of divine order in their own life. Never allow someone to step into the personal areas of your life when they have chaos operating in themselves. We should always have three people around us in life; someone we can help to climb up, someone that we can climb up with, and someone we can climb up to. We need someone that we can teach, someone that we can teach with and someone that can teach us.
Serving Last

Just as Jesus said, in my own words; “If you want to BE somebody-SERVE somebody.” The first two came first because you cannot help someone else achieve order until you have achieved it. But the same is true if you desire to keep order. You will not keep your divine order unless you’re always helping others get it. By helping others correctly order their lives, God continually helps you remember how to keep yours. He brings a continuous cycle of order that comes when we choose to help others understand God’s divine order. Remember, God can only pour into your life what you’re giving into the life of someone else. When you serve others - God uses others to serve you! As we serve each other, we see it happen in the form of God’s divine order. People come through for you in God’s perfect timing. God opens doors for you through people that are in His order of process.

Now is the time for God’s Divine Order. If you want 2010 to be a God ordered year then put things in order… HIS order. I believe that this can and will be our best year if we put God first.
